12.15.03 - 3:58 pm I'm getting a little tired of seeing people in their twenties play high schoolers, or upper classmen in high school playing middle schoolers. Hollywood is forcing people to grow up before their time and become involved in situations long before they're ready for them. Currently, the most beautiful and mature people are found and featured, and the viewers begin to feel that they are as old and responsible as the actors look. I think that if people were cast as characters their own age, everyone would take a step back, realizing "Woah. They're just kids! Something isn't right," and try to put some stop to it. I think parents haven't been able to clearly discern what is and isn't "quality television" because they see young adults and forget they're playing the roles of their freshmen sons and daughters. Once it's gone, people often wish they could get a sense of their innocence back, but little do we see that we're stripping a new generation of their opportunity to attempt keeping it.
